Laredo’s combined law enforcement officials including Laredo ISD Police Departments, in conjunction with the City of Laredo Police Department, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, and the Constable’s Office reminded the public about school bus safety, speed limits and the use of electronic devices while driving in school zones. Monday, August 11, is the first day of class for Laredo ISD.

LISD is celebrating Texas Public School Week! LISD is opening its 20 elementary and four middle schools for parents and guardians to visit on Wednesday, February 26, from 8:30 a.m., to 11:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Report cards will be issued at LISD elementary schools.

🦖 Digging Deep into the Past: Fossil Investigation Lab Success! 🦖 This week, Mr.Q's classroom transformed into the Fossil Domain, and our junior paleontologists took center stage!

It was a GREAT first day back for the spring semester at Alma Pierce Elementary! The energy, excitement, and smiles were contagious as we kicked off a new chapter of learning and growth. Here’s to making this semester the best one yet!

Christmas came early for one little Alma Pierce Elementary School student this morning. U.S. Army Sergeant Eric Cedillo, who has been deployed in South Korea for the past 11 months, surprised his daughter, Adelina Cedillo, in her pre-k class after returning home for the holidays. Sergeant Cedillo, who heard from Santa Claus, that his daughters’ classmates have been good all year long brought along a present for each student. He even took time and sat down and played games with the kids.
