The morning began with greetings from Superintendent Dr. Sylvia RĂos. The new teachers are spending the week learning about LISD’s policies, procedures, instructional technology, and much more.

The Laredo Independent School District kicked off “Week of the
Young Child,” celebrations with the Early Childhood Education Department’s annual Week of the Young Child proclamation and field day. Over 3,000 of the district’s youngest PreK 3, PreK4, and Kindergarten students made their way to Shirley Field and participated in many fun-filled activities that included parachutes, basketball hoops, frisbees, bean bags, ball relays, and obstacle courses.
